Dustin Brantley is a Tennessee-based production designer and set decorator with more than a decade of experience. He came into this industry by accident, accepting a job painting a few sets with his best friend, and hasn’t looked back since. Having worked his way up in the art department, Dustin knows what it takes to get a job done from creation to completion. He’s decorated shows for A24 and NBC, designed music videos for artists like Diplo, Julien Baker, and Lil Baby, and created commercials for brands such as Nike, Chanel, CocaCola, and Beats by Dre. A lifelong antiques collector and backroads motorcyclist, he brings authentic elements to the camera from places few would dare to explore. This passion stems from his upbringing, surrounded by a unique cast of characters: outlaw bikers, over the road truckers, and touring musicians. These fringe worlds continue to inspire his work — lending a distinct perspective that results in a layered “raw and real” aesthetic approach to filmmaking. His intent is for the sets to have as much of a story to tell as the characters within them.
